Spicy Beans with Chicken
This is so far one of my favorite Chinese vegetable dishes. Beans are usually boiled and served as a side dish in Western countries. They are placed with steak, fish or any other meat dishes, but never served as a main course themselves. It is also rare to see fried beans.
Just like French fries, beans can be fried as well. After being fried, the bitterness of the fresh beans turn into delicious sweet taste. The sweetness is so special and there is nothing can be compared to it.
The final touch is to add the chili sauce, garlic, ginger, scallions to enhance the flavor. Chicken is optional. The original Chinese fried bean dish goes with the ground pork.
